It was shown that sequelae occurred in 9.42% of the patients with this affection, that the aesthetic, ofthalmological, and neurological complications were the most frequent, and that the reconstructive procedure with autogenous materials was the most universal and effective for their treatment. Abstract
A descriptive, longitudinal, prospective and synthetic study was carried out in a five-year period (1981-1985), during which surgical treatment was provided for 520 patients with a zygomatic fracture diagnosis in the Maxillofacial Surgery services of the Saturnino Lora Surgical and Clinical Hospital in Santiago de Cuba.
