The CRISPR/Cas9 technology has become the most widely used gene editing technique. Ornamental traits determine the aesthetic value of plants, and improving ornamental traits has become a research hotspot. The gene editing technology mediated by the CRISPR/Cas9 system has been widely applied in crop genetics and breeding, and there are increasing reports of its application in flowers. Abstract
