Abstract
The Russian anthology is an invitation to Russian scholars to resume the discussion of courtesy. The review criticizes the identification of Tristan’s love for Iseult (‘Breton material’) with Dané’s feelings for Narcissus (‘ancient Greek material’) and inaccuracies in the translations of medieval topoi and genre names.
