Conversely, the C allele was found more often in the cyst-afflicted group. For the p53 codon 175, the AA genotype and A allele were more common in the affected group, while the G allele was more predominant in the control group.\nConclusion: The p53 codon 175 AA genotype and A allele, p53 codon 72 C allele, and p53 codon 72/codon 175 CCAA combined genotype may be associated with odontagenic cyst formation. Abstract

Objective: Odontogenic cysts that cause bone destruction can exhibit various types of metaplasia.
