Peculiarities of the Research Methodology of the Theory of National Security

Abstract

The complex of concepts describing unified system of national security, threats, risks, challenges, and the resisting counter-system, is the most problematic aspect of the methodology of ensuring and studying national security. It should be clarified what sphere is given to the theory of national security in the system of scientific knowledge. It is important to determine its relationship with both the specialized theories of security and social, humanitarian, natural science, etc. It should be specified: which field of scientific knowledge does the theory of national security belong to, which sciences are its philosophical and methodological foundations, which sciences does it interact with, and for which it acts as an ideological and methodological landmark. It is of great importance to fully understand the general theory of national security, because it allows to clearly outline the mechanisms and processes specific to the field of national security of Georgia.
