Abstract
It has been brought to the attention of the EPPO Secretariat that in the EPPO Diagnostic Standard PM 7/44(4) Bursaphelenchus xylophilus (EPPO, 2023) an incorrect reference was given in the reference list for the conventional PCR test by Matsunaga K & Togashi K (2004) which is described in detail in Appendix 5 and also referred to in the main text of the Standard.
The correct reference is:
Matsunaga K & Togashi K (2004) A simple method for discriminating Bursaphelenchus xylophilus and B. mucronatus by species-specific polymerase chain reaction primer pairs. Nematology 6. 2: 273–277.
