It is replaced by PM 3/99 (1) General guidelines for the export certification process for plants, plant products or other regulated articles (EPPO, 2025) which is published in this issue of the EPPO Bulletin.

In the published version of the above article, Appendix 5 describes a real-time RT-PCR test adapted from Saponari et al. (2008). In Paragraph 2 ‘Methods’, a footnote under the Master Mix table specifies that the ‘iScript reverse transcriptase Supermix (Biorad)’ is no longer commercially available. However, this applies to the ‘iScript One-step RT-PCR kit for Probes (Biorad)’. The ‘iScript reverse transcriptase Supermix (Biorad)’, originally provided with the kit, can be purchased separately. Therefore, the footnote is modified accordingly. The corrected version of Appendix 5 is shown below:

In Appendix 7—RT-LAMP (Wang et al., 2013), in the Master Mix table, the ref. code ‘ISO-DR004’, was included for the ‘Isothermal Master Mix (Optigene)’. However, the correct code is ‘ISO-DR004-RT’. The corrected version of Appendix 7 is shown below:

This work documents the first occurrence of Etiella zinckenella (Lepidoptera: Pyralidae) infestations in soybean crops in Greece, and in particular within the Regional Unit of Drama, north-eastern Greece. Larvae of this pest inflict direct damage by feeding on seeds and cause indirect damage by reducing crop marketability, resulting in significant yield and economic losses on different hosts worldwide. Additionally, this report introduces Dolichogenidea appellator (Hymenoptera: Braconidae), a parasitoid of E. zinckenella, found in infested soybean pods, that has been identified using DNA barcoding and is documented for the first time in Greece. Given the substantial economic implications and the necessity for effective integrated pest management practices, further research is essential to elucidate the interactions between environmental conditions, pest dynamics and agricultural practices in the region. This study provides a critical foundation for future investigations into soybean pest management in Greece.
