Abstract

Within Digital Humanities, History is one of the disciplines that has the greatest delay in its incorporation on the Internet. Very important steps have already been taken, such as the fact that most magazines already have a digital version or only exist on the Internet. However, there is still much to do in an objective that is not only the task of historians, but from other disciplines such as Information and Documentation. In this subject, the presence of the American History knowledge area on digital platforms is analyzed, the sources, information and publications that can be found are presented according to each of the stages of the research cycle. Various options are also proposed to achieve faster advancement of the area within the Digital Humanities. Dentro de las Humanidades Digitales, la Historia es una de las disciplinas que acumula mayor retraso en su incorporación al mundo de Internet. Ya se han dado pasos muy importantes, como por ejemplo que la mayoría de las revistas tienen ya una versión digital o sólo existen en la Red. Sin embargo, queda todavía mucho por hacer en un objetivo que no es sólo tarea de los historiadores, sino desde otras disciplinas como la Información y Documentación. En este ámbito se analiza la presencia del área de conocimiento de Historia de América en las plataformas digitales, se exponen las fuentes, información y publicaciones localizables según cada una de las etapas del ciclo de la investigación. También se proponen diversas opciones para lograr un avance más rápido del área dentro de las Humanidades Digitales.
