Abstract
Whilst there is currently much greater awareness of the detrimental impacts on human health caused by highly hazardous pesticides in developed countries, many developing countries have been slow to react. Although the most toxic pesticides are no longer registered for use within Europe, there have been many tragedies caused by the application of hazardous pesticides in other areas of the world.
