The combination of a point-rating system and distance educational technologies as a means of improving the quality of mathematical training of students of correspondence education

Abstract

Цель данной статьи – описание результатов анализа специфики заочного обучения в Российской Федерации, его положительных и отрицательных сторон для студентов и преподавателей, практики применения в процессе обучения студентов-заочников дистанционных образовательных технологий и балльно-рейтинговой системы оценивания результатов учебных достижений. Описывается учебно-методический комплекс для изучения математических дисциплин студентами заочной формы обучения. Проанализирован опыт применения балльно-рейтинговой системы оценивания учебных достижений обучающихся в нескольких высших учебных заведениях, описанный в различных научных статьях. Приводится положительный опыт применения дистанционных образовательных технологий в процессе обучения в сочетании с балльно-рейтинговой системой оценивания. Делается вывод о том, что такое сочетание позволяет увеличить время общения преподавателя и студентов, улучшить контроль самостоятельной работы обучающихся, а также повысить объективность оценки их учебных достижений и качество обучения в целом. The purpose of this article is to describe the results of the analysis of the specifi cs of distance learning in the Russian Federation, its positive and negative aspects for students and teachers, the practice of using distance learning technologies in the learning process of part-time students and the point-rating system for evaluating the results of educational achievements. An educational and methodological complex for studying mathematical disciplines by students of correspondence courses is described. The experience of using the point-rating system for evaluating the educational achievements of students in several higher educational institutions, described in various scientific articles, is analyzed. The positive experience of using distance learning technologies in the learning process in combination with a point-rating system of assessment is given. It is concluded that this combination allows to increase the time of communication between the teacher and students, improve the control of students’ independent work, as well as increase the objectivity of assessing their educational achievements and the quality of education in general.
