Hal ini dikarenakan ASI hanya mampu memenuhi dua pertiga kebutuhan bayi pada usia 6-9 bulan, dan pada 9-12 bulan memenuhi setengah dari kebutuhan bayi. Dalam pemberian MP-ASI, yang perlu diperhatikan adalah usia pemberian MP-ASI, jenis MP-ASI, frekuensi dalam pemberian MP-ASI, porsi pemberian MP-ASI dan cara pemberian MP-ASI pada tahap awal. Salah satu faktor pemenuhan gizi dari sisi ekonomi yang mempengaruhui kemampuan daya beli masyarakat terhadap pangan. Berdasarkan laporan Puskesmas Katobu bahwa jumlah baduta adalah sebanyak 1,17% orang, tercatat oleh petugas bahwa bayi yang mengkonsumsi MP-ASI usia dini semakin tinggi sebanyak 1,51% orang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu survei analitik dengan pendekatan “cross sectional study” yang bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara pemberian MP-ASI dengan status gizi baduta di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Katobu Kabupaten Muna pada tahun 2021. Populasi pada penelitian ini yaitu berjumlah 268 Baduta dengan besar sampel sebanyak 57 Baduta. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa tidak ada hubungan antara pemberian MP-ASI terhadap status gizi Baduta dengan nilai p-value= 0,325 >0,05. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa tidak ada hubungan antara pemberian MP-ASI terhadap status gizi baduta di Wilayah Puskesmas Katobu Kabupaten Muna Tahun 2021. This is because breast milk is only able to meet two thirds of a baby's needs at the age of 6-9 months, and at 9-12 months it fulfills half of the baby's needs. In giving MP-ASI, what needs to be considered is the age of giving MP-ASI, type of MP-ASI, frequency of giving MP-ASI, portion of giving MP-ASI and how to give MP-ASI at an early stage. One of the factors for fulfilling nutrition from an economic standpoint is affecting the purchasing power of people towards food. Based on the report from the Katobu Community Health Center, the Baduta was 1.17%, it was noted by officials that babies who consumed MP-ASI at an early age had a higher rate of 1.51%. The research method used was an analytic survey with a \"cross-sectional study\" approach which aimed to analyze the relationship between complementary feeding and the nutritional status of Baduta who were observed at the same time. The population in this study was 268 Baduta, the sample size was 57 Baduta. The results of this study indicate that there is no relationship between the provision of MP-ASI on the nutritional status of Baduta (p-value = 0.325 > 0.05). Suggestions from the results of this study are mothers who have Baduta aged 6-4 months in giving MP-ASI which must be given according to the needs and age of the child by seeking information through books or online media so that children do not experience malnutrition or obesity.
