Periodontal status was determined by evaluating the periodontal inflamed surface area, which was calculated by measuring the periodontal probing pocket depth and detecting bleeding on probing.Results: Multivariate logistic regression analysis after adjustment by the PS showed that severe periodontitis was significantly associated with MSTS (odds ratio 2.81, p = 0.04).
