Quality of Life of Citizens as a Factor of Political Risks

Abstract

The article reflects the results of a study devoted to the study of the role of the quality of life of citizens in the formation of political risks due to the influence of the dynamics of this indicator on the behavior and value ori-entations of the general population in the long term. The political behavior of American youth serves as a re-search case. The methodology of the work is formed through a combination of comparative and descriptive analysis and secondary processing of data from quantitative sociological research. The author concludes that a long-term decline in the quality of life, leading to a decrease in the corresponding parameters at the intergen-erational level, can provoke a large-scale revision of political values and the system of party loyalty in society. This circumstance in the long term can lead to the unbalancing of the political system and the emergence of new actors within it.
