However, the mitre cutting machine and the circular sawing machine pose a risk for the machine operator in active production by creating noise above the established exposure limit value. The mitre cutting machine carries the same risk for the machine operator when it is in operation but in passive production. Abstract

This study aimed to determine the risk level of noise, which is an important physical risk, in small and medium-sized furniture industry enterprises.
