Whilst live surgical workshops are great learning tools for young surgeons, there exists a risk of a breach of patient confidentiality and safety. Do the pros outweigh the cons is to be addressed. The time may be ripe to explore other options like live operations on simulators with the scenario manipulated by Artificial Intelligence (AI), to make it more a real, challenging experience for surgical trainees.
