Abstract

The purpose of the work is to scientifically substantiate the methodology for the development of coordination abilities at the stage of initial training of young badminton players by means of the BWF Shuttle Time international program. The following research methods were used in the study: theoretical - systematic analysis of special scientific literature; praximetric - study of statistical, educational and methodical documentation, programs and activity results. The scientific novelty of the research results is as follows: the types of coordination abilities most significant for the success of competitive activities in badminton will be revealed; the age specific features of the level of development of general and specific coordination abilities of young badminton players aged 8-11 will be clarified. Summarizing the above, we note that the method of developing the coordination abilities of young badminton players at the stage of initial training using the tools of the BWF Shuttle Time international program should be aimed at solving the tasks of developing general and specific coordination abilities, which are significant for the success of competitive activities in badminton. The development of coordination abilities should be carried out taking into account the specific principles of the organization of the educational and training process: a comprehensive approach to the development and diagnosis of coordination abilities; unity of development of mental and motor components of motor abilities; the unity of educational and developmental influences on athletes; variability of these influences; continuity and gradual increase of developmental and training activities.
