Examining two recent cases of police officers committing serious crimes, including the abduction and murder of Sarah Everard, this article scrutinises the application of Whole Life Orders (WLOs) in such instances. Analysing the Couzens and Carrick cases, it assesses judicial interpretations of WLO eligibility and the impact of legal precedents.
