Abstract
Structures for the care of relatives after a stay on the intensive care unit are present in principle, but no systematic interfaces between the different types of care and the care sectors exists. Therefore, in a first step, the needs of relatives during intensive care treatment should be continuously assessed and addressed as early as possible.
