Pathogenetic justification of osteopathic methods in the treatment of thermal skin burns

Abstract

The novelty of the present studylies in the application of manual (osteopathic) approach to the treatment of thermal skin burns in patients in the acute period (1-3 days) of a burn injury. Clinical, osteopathic, and analytical methods were used. The study result is thatthe involvement of the underlying tissues in burn process in the projection of the burn wound zone determines thecourse and the forecast of a thermalskin burn of the II-III degree in patients. Osteopathic treatment can stop the course of typical pathological processes and change the pathogenesis of the wound process. It is advisablethat the method of early physical rehabilitation and exposure to osteopathic treatmentaimed at improvingthe course of the wound process in burn wounds already in the diseaseacute periodshould be introduced in clinical practice.
