Results: The age group of 40-49 years predominated with 32%. Regarding nutritional status, a predominance of overweight and normal weight patients was demonstrated. Inadequate sodium intake also played a leading role. A community intervention was applied that decreased patients with inadequate sodium intake, increased normal weight, and increased the level of knowledge about high blood pressure. Abstract
