Abstract
The work discusses the polymorphism of calcium carbonate, the crystal structure of its various polymorphic forms, and the analysis of structure- property correlations. The existence of a novel polymorphic modification of calcium carbonate, monoclinic aragonite CaCO3, has been experimentally discovered.
