Evaluation of the synergistic effects of synthesized silver nanoparticles conjugated tetracycline

The anti-bacterial activity of pure Tetracycline and tetracycline-AgNP conjugates was examined against ten isolates of Pseudomonas aeruginosa. The tetracycline/AgNPs nanoparticles also strongly inhibited the growth of P. aeruginosa, as shown in experiments that involved the determination of the lowest inhibitory and lethal concentrations. It is noted that all of the isolates recorded the minimum inhibitory concentration at 60%, while the minimum inhibitory concentration for two isolates (1 and 10) was 100%. Genetically, higher frequencies of total chromosomal aberrations (TCAs) in blood cells were correlated with higher NP concentrations.
