Abstract
This article questions the support of homeless people based on the concept of autonomy. This support suffers from internal contradictions. On the one hand, it still too often assumes that the homeless are deprived of autonomy. On the other hand, it consists of a paradoxical injunction, since it encourages individuals to be autonomous, while depriving them of the means to implement it. Support therefore creates the conditions for its own failure.
