Abstract
The most severe manifestation of COVID-19 is bilateral pneumonia with development of acute respiratory distress syndrome accompanied by cytokine storm, pulmonary edema and death of the patient. In a number of patients, occurrence of mucormycosis of mucous membranes was one of the stages of the lethal outcome development.
