The patient underwent surgery through endoscopic transnasal access with good postoperative outcome. Additional postoperative examination revealed a possible source of hematogenic advancement of infectious process into the sella turcica cavity – pericoronitis of tooth 4.8. The article also presents review of publications on the topic.
