The following inclusion criteria were used: articles in English, Spanish and Portuguese, published between January 2019 and January 2024, containing the terms raised on the topic. After reading the 13 selected articles in full, they were grouped into three categories, namely: “Risk factors and traumatic experiences”; “Assessment and monitoring of the mental health of military police officers”; and “Prevalence and characteristics of mental disorders in military police officers”.
