Рассмотрены аспекты теории надежности, применимые для способов размещения и крепления грузов. Приведено понятие надежности способов размещения и крепления грузов. Показаны свойства, определяющие надежность способов размещения и крепления грузов. Проанализирована структура отказов технических средств, связанных со способами размещения и крепления грузов, приведена их классификация с практическими примерами. Исследован фактический характер отказов, последствия от их возникновения на сети железных дорог. Определены показатели надежности способов размещения и крепления грузов и основные методы оценки их надежности.
