Each month the Editorial Team nominates peer reviewers whose reviews have stood out for their quality and timeliness and those selected as the best are highlighted on this page in recognition of their exceptional work.</p><p><b>Vineet Gauhar</b></p><p>After receiving his Masters and dual fellowships in Urology Dr Gauhar serves as a principal resident physician, associate professor and consultant urologist. He joined as a founder member of the department of urology at Ng Teng Fong General Hospital (NUHS). Dr Gauhar's field of expertise is MIS in calculus disease, MIST for prostate and MIS in renal cancer and kidney diseases. Well acclaimed regionally and internationally for training of national and international residents and fellows, his department is a premier tertiary institute for MIS in stone and prostate surgery. Dr Gauhar's areas of focus also include urogenital infections, male urethral disease and Artificial Intelligence applications. Winner of numerous awards he is also a principal investigator and has successfully completed more than 14 studies. He is the founder of REAP / PEEL data registry for enucleation (>10 000 patients from 20 countries) and FLEXOR (>6500 patients from 20 countries) and the Global FANS registry for flexible ureteroscopy.</p><p>Currently Dr Gauhar's key research and clinical interest is in suction technologies for endourology and he has created both DISS (direct in-scope Suction technique) and FANS (Flexible and Navigable Suction Sheath) techniques.</p><p><b>Marco Paciotti</b></p><p>Dr Marco Paciotti is a staff urologist at Humanitas Research Hospital in Milan. He completed his medical training at San Raffaele University and his residency in urology at Humanitas University. During his residency, he was awarded the SIU-AUA research fellowship, completing a one-year research fellowship at Brigham and Women's Hospital, Boston. He holds a Certificate in Applied Biostatistics from Harvard Catalyst. Dr Paciotti completed a two-year clinical fellowship in robotic surgery at OLV Ziekenhuis, Aalst. During that period, he also served as the Deputy Medical Director at ORSI Academy.</p><p>He is a urological surgeon specialised in urologic oncology and a dedicated researcher with numerous peer-reviewed publications. His research focuses on enhancing diagnostic and therapeutic pathways in uro-oncology and advancing minimally invasive surgery. He is passionate about improving and standardising surgical education, serving as a tutor in numerous simulation-based courses and as a robotic surgery proctor. Dr. Paciotti is an active member of several national and international societies and research groups, including OCERT (ORSI Consensus European Robotic Training), the YAU Working Group Robotic in Urology, the EAU/ESU “Lower Urinary Tract Endoscopy” working group, and the ERUS Educational Working Group.</p><p><b>Nikhil Vasdev</b></p><p>Professor Nikhil Vasdev is Professor and Chair of Robotic Surgery at the School of Life and Medical Sciences, University of Hertfordshire and Consultant Urological Surgeon / Associate Medical Director for Cancer Services, Lister Hospital, East and North Herts NHS Trust.</p><p>Prof Vasdev specialist interests and current grants are in Robotic Low Pressure Pelvic Surgery, Intracorporeal Reconstruction, AI in urological cancers, bladder cancer biomarker research and intravesical drug development. He has published over 220 peer-reviewed articles and is the section editor for Urology in the upcoming edition of Gray's Surgical Anatomy.</p><p><b>Sungmin Woo</b></p><p>Dr Sungmin Woo, MD, PhD, is an assistant professor of Radiology at NYU Grossman School of Medicine in New York, United States. He completed his diagnostic radiology residency (2015) in Seoul National University Hospital in South Korea followed by a comprehensive oncologic imaging fellowship (2019) at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York, after which he stayed on as faculty and held the position of director of genitourinary radiology. He recently joined NYU Langone Health in August 2023 as part of the newly established oncologic imaging division.</p><p>Dr Woo's clinical expertise and research interest lie in oncologic imaging, focusing on urologic and gynaecologic cancers. Dr Woo has over 130 scientific publications in peer-reviewed academic journals. He has received numerous accolades, including the Roentgen Resident/Fellow Research Award (2020), National Academy of Medicine Scholars of Diagnostic Excellence (2022), and US federal grant funding from the National Institute of Health/National Cancer Institute (2022).
