We have successfully performed hematopoietic stem cell transplantation in two patients with AMeD syndrome and isochromosome 1q. AMeD syndrome with myelodysplastic syndrome or acute myeloblastic leukemia generally has a poor prognosis; however, early diagnosis may improve treatment response.
