Abstract
Several treatment-oriented classifications for the management of peri-implant marginal mucosal defects (PMMDs) have been published to date. While each classification provides valuable insights into key diagnostic and therapeutic aspects, there is a marked heterogeneity regarding the recommended clinical guidelines to achieve success in specific scenarios.
