Its pathogenesis is complex, lacks specific manifestations, and has a low positive culture rate, making early diagnosis and personalized treatment still a challenge for clinicians. Epidemiological studies on twins have shown that genetic factors are associated with neonatal sepsis. Gene polymorphisms are closely related to susceptibility, disease development, and prognosis.
