Abstract

Introduction

The frequency of shoulder pathologies is rising among climbers. This study aims to establish the reference values of CKCUEST and SEBTm, as well as the influencing factors.

Method

Only climbers who were able to climb were included. Out of the 120 subjects in the study, only 20 experienced shoulder pain at the time of the experiment.

Results

The reference values of CKCUEST are similar to those of other athlete populations, but lower for SEBTm inferior and superior lateral direction. There is no significant influence of pain, clinical history, or intrinsic and extrinsic factors on the results.

Discussion

It is necessary to adjust the reference values of SEBTm and to provide better care to our climbers’ shoulders. Indeed, 50% of the subjects had or have had shoulder problems.
