Two PMMA-based blocks also demonstrated significantly lower Ra and Sa values. SEM images showed no irregular changes in the surface properties of the PMMA-based blocks compared to those of the composite resin block. These results are significant in meeting the increasing demand for esthetic restorative treatments in pediatrics, where APF is commonly used for caries prevention.
