Abstract

This work aimed at investigating the Many-Body Localization transition in discrete disordered interacting fermionic systems when the second nearest-neighbor hoppings are considered. We studied small system sizes of spinless fermions located in a one-dimensional disordered optical lattice. Considering the disorder strength, we focused our attention on the eigenvalues and eigenstates properties of the quantum many-body system such as the level-spacing statistics and the Kullback–Leibler divergence and the entropy. As a result, the shapes of the probability distributions showed that the systems undergo delocalized and localized regimes for low and high disorder strengths respectively.
