Breast Cancer Stem Cells
In article number 2405367, Quan Li, Yuqi Tang, and Zhichao Wang report a multifunctional prodrug photosensitizer that can reduce the tumorigenicity of breast cancer stem cells (CSCs) and overcome tumor resistance and recurrence. Importantly, this photosensitizer is found to be able to induce the pyroptosis of CSCs as well as to activate their death pathway protein phosphatase 2A to inhibit CSCs upon light activation, achieving synergistic cancer photoimmunotherapy.
