Therefore, it is of interest to explore the antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and cytotoxic properties of aqueous extracts from Acerola and Amla. Hence, the anti-inflammatory activity of Acerola and amla was assessed using the bovine serum albumin denaturation assay (BSA Assay), antioxidant properties were compared using DPPH (2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl) assay. Both extracts antibacterial activities were evaluated through the agar well diffusion technique against oral pathogens and Brine shrimp lethality assay for cytotoxicity.
