Taxonomy, distribution, biogeographic issues, and the potential effect of human activities on these molluscs’ communities are discussed. New morphological data for some snail species are presented, particularly for the genera <em>Limax</em> Linnaeus, 1758; <em>Xerocrassa</em> Monterosato, 1892; <em>Monacha</em> Fitzinger, 1833; and <em>Albinaria</em> Vest, 1864. Abstract
The present report provides an updated checklist of land and freshwater molluscs from Sifnos Island and, for the first time, from the nearby uninhabited islet Kitriani (Greece, Cyclades) with a critical review of available literature. Taxonomy, distribution, biogeographic issues, and the potential effect of human activities on these molluscs’ communities are discussed.
