Abstract
Technological advancements have exacerbated electromagnetic interference (EMI), necessitating superior shielding materials. This study details the creation of lightweight, flexible fibrous coatings composed of fluoroelastomer (FKM) integrated with conductive carbon black (CB), utilizing electrospinning. The EMI shielding performance of the resultant composite was thoroughly evaluated using the OATS (open area test site) method within the X-band frequency range. Empirical data indicate that the FKM/CB composite fibers achieved excellent shielding performance, with an average shielding effectiveness of −69 dB and a peak of −72 dB at 8.4 GHz. The composite also demonstrated significant radar cross-section (RCS) reduction, enhancing its stealth capabilities and making it a prime candidate for defense applications.
