Abstract

The rising popularity of photosensitizers has greatly transformed traditional cancer diagnosis and phototherapeutic strategies. This review highlights the latest advances in small molecule photosensitizers with aggregation-induced emission (AIE) for cancer theranostics, following the principle of “Complexity made easy.” This study emphasizes on simplicity, expeditiousness, and safety, as it aims to advance cancer research (e657).
