Abstract
The formation, assembly and jamming of nanoparticle surfactants (NPS) by the co-assembly between polydopamine nanoparticles and poly(styrene-co-methacrylamidophenylboronic acid) at the oil-water interface is presented. Taking advantage of the photothermal property of PDA NPs, the thermal responsiveness of NPSs can be triggered upon near-infrared irradiation, allowing the welding of droplets and offering a straightforward to construct modular droplet devices (e621).
