Abstract
The Front Cover shows an old-school slot machine with symbols representing porphyrin, pyrene, hexa-peri-hexabenzocoronene, and phenyl printed on its reels. The reels have stopped at the point where all three possible asymmetric combinations of porphyrin with the other aromatic fragments are reached. As these β-meso five-ring fused architectures resemble the target molecules in our work, this outcome leads to the release of the machine′s jackpot in the form of pentagon-shaped coins, highlighting the fusion motif. More information can be found in the Research Article by B. Meyer, N. Jux and co-workers (DOI: 10.1002/ejoc.202401217). Cover art designed and made by Christoph Oleszak.
