Abstract
This study explores the concept of Belum Ruhui Rahayu within the framework of religious moderation, focusing on the role of religion and culture in fostering communal harmony in Tewang Darayu Village, Central Kalimantan, Indonesia. The primary objective is to understand how the integration of religious and cultural values contributes to achieving Belum Ruhui Rahayu, a state of peaceful coexistence. The research employs a qualitative approach, utilizing two main data collection techniques: systematic observation to monitor and record relevant behaviors, and in-depth interview. Key findings reveal that the villagers of Tewang Darayu effectively internalize and implement religious moderation through a harmonious blend of cultural practices and religious teachings. The study highlights that the values of inclusivity, unconditional love, openness to differences, and active engagement in community life are central to achieving Belum Ruhui Rahayu. These values align with the principles of religious moderation and contribute to social stability and cohesion. The contribution of this study lies in its demonstration of how traditional values and cultural practices can complement religious moderation efforts. It offers insights into the practical application of these values in everyday life, providing a model for other communities seeking to enhance interfaith harmony. The novelty of this research is its socio-theological perspective, which bridges theoretical concepts with practical implications, offering a comprehensive understanding of how religious and cultural dimensions interact to foster a peaceful and inclusive society.
