Abstract
This paper investigates the reasons underlying the diversity in mobile broadband prices across 182 countries from 2013 to 2022. Our analysis examines the interplay among three groups of variables: policy frameworks, market conditions, and pricing mechanisms. Our results suggest that countries should adopt advanced regulatory practices regarding licensing, infrastructure sharing, spectrum flexibility, and competition to lower mobile broadband prices.
