Abstract
A placebo-controlled study has found that use of omega-3 fatty acids had no protective effect on transition to psychosis in high-risk young people aged 13 to 20. This is the third recent randomized controlled trial (RCT) that has failed to replicate results of a 12-week trial that found a lower transition rate to psychosis in young people receiving omega-3s.
