Random-Intercept Cross-Lagged Panel Models revealed first causal relations, with situation perceptions often preceding changes in narcissistic states. For example, perceptions of Intellect and Positivity increased narcissistic agency, while Intellect, Duty, and Negativity triggered higher-than-usual narcissistic antagonism.
