Characterized by the presence of extracellular mucin constituting at least 50% of the tumor volume, MRA is associated with a poorer prognosis and more advanced tumor stage at presentation compared to nonmucinous rectal adenocarcinomas. We report a case of a 42-year-old male patient with no family history of colorectal cancer, who presented with chronic diarrhea and was diagnosed with T3N0 MRA.
