Abstract

Let g be a simple complex finite dimensional Lie algebra. For generic qC, let Uq(g) be the quantum group with standard generators Ei,Fi,q±λi. Fixing an index i0, let P be the subalgebra generated by all Ei,q±λi and Fi0, which has sub-quotient algebras isomorphic to Uqi0(sl2). With each generalized Verma Uq(g)-module MP(V) induced from a simple Uqi0(sl2)-module V, we associate a Verma module M(V). In this paper, for infinite dimensional V we prove that MP(V) is simple if and only if M(V) is simple.
