Abstract
Tulipa uniflora (L.) Besser ex Baker (1874) is distributed throughout China, Mongolia, and Russia (Siberia). This study reports the complete chloroplast genome sequence of T. uniflora based on high-throughput sequencing. The genome has a natural quadripartite structure and is 152,254 bp long with 36.5% GC content. It has 98 unique genes, including 4 rRNA genes, 29 tRNA genes, and 75 protein-coding genes. A total of 77 single-sequence repeats were identified, mostly in intergenic spacer regions. Anticodon recognition patterns revealed 19,717 codons in the protein-coding genes. Based on the whole chloroplast genome, T. uniflora was separated early from Tulipa species.
