Abstract
Personality traits play a crucial role in fostering sustainable behavior, especially within organizational contexts. This research investigates the interplay between leadership personality, employee personality, decision-making processes, and environmentally responsible actions. Utilizing a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design, data were collected via structured questionnaires and analyzed using Confirmatory Factor Analysis and Structural Equation Modeling. The results indicate that leadership personality significantly influences environmentally responsible behavior, while employee personality positively affects both decision-making and pro-environmental actions. However, leadership personality was not found to have a direct impact on decision-making, nor did decision-making mediate its connection to environmentally responsible behavior. This study enhances understanding of how leadership and employee personality traits contribute to sustainable practices in governmental settings. It underscores the importance for organizations to cultivate personality traits that encourage eco-friendly behavior, providing valuable insights to strengthen sustainability initiatives.
