replying to V. Plá et al. Nature Neuroscience https://doi.org/10.1038/s41593-025-01897-3 (2025)
All the technical objections raised by Plá et al.1 regarding our recent paper2 are misunderstandings, misleading or incorrect. It seems to us that the aim of their comments is to discredit the conclusions of our work, rather than to seriously question the methodology.
